Some vignettes of my memories from Alorya are now up in a new article titled Dancing with Memory. For various reasons, I've decided I prefer such a fragmentary format rather than a "story so far" sort of format. It both highlights the flashback aspect of past-life memories, the fact that they are not a coherent narrative, and it makes it far harder for unscrupulous sorts to insert themselves into the story.
Have you ever read something that a friend wrote years ago, and just wished you could go back in time and give it a standing ovation when it was written? Just had that experience... rereading the archives of a few mailing lists to prepare for some new work I want to do on a longstanding project of mine.
Ashran, wherever you are: kudos. Seriously. You rock.
As for the quote in the subject line, it just seemed appropriate. On several levels.

On the car front, I have now purchased the 92 Geo Prizm, and insured it. I will retitle and register it and everything as soon as the insurance docs come in the mail, and then I'll be good to go. :)
I'm still musing on the issue of its Name. Remember, I'm naming this somewhat in Eyovah's honor due to the coloration and a desire to continue the trend of naming cars after Aloryans that I started with the Taurus, plus my own association of driving/cars with Eyovah which is somehow both very Wrong and very Right, somewhat like stirring glitter into his ashes was. ;-) I'm leaning away from Inguz, possibly entirely away from ones connected to the god Frey at the moment, though I'm not certain yet...I've looked back through archives and such, and the only other names he used for his elven side were Tassan, the origins of which I'm somewhat dubious about, and Liesin (possibly Tal Liesin, or Ta Liesin, yes the celtic connection has been noted), which I don't connect with my memories of Alorya at all.
This is going to require more thought, perhaps meditation even.
In the meantime, I've started to do some minor energywork on the car, though the majority of it is going to need to wait until it has been Named.
