Still tracking the past and present manifestations of HOPE, and I've managed to catch them in another blatant lie. Silverfox/Adara once publicly claimed that the Otherkin MSN community had no connection to HOPE: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/elven-realities/message/54887

Funny, currently it has the words "A Hope-Corde Organization owned group" right on it's main page. http://groups.msn.com/Otherkin/

The sheer transparancy of the deception involved is underwhelming. *chuckles*

Would you take the group more seriously if you knew that Adara used to be hung up on conducting training for "covert-ops" bullshit which just happened to include smuggling items through patdown searches? Little items, for the most part, about the size of razorblades... or possibly as large as box cutters. Now, while I don't believe that even the members of HOPE are insane enough to use that training in the manner in which it *could* be used, the fact that such an unstable organization might train rather unstable people in such things bothers me a lot, especially considering this country's recent history. (Note: as far as I am aware, I am the only member of HOPE to actual go through that training during the time I was still involved in the organization. I have no idea if it's still being offered by Adara, if anyone else ever took part in it, or if it even has anything to do with HOPE anymore, but it is one major reason why I am very disturbed by their continued existance and am not content to let the matter drop.)

===It should also be noted that Adara was a part of the National Guard for a while...and there is that unsettling conection with at least one KNOWN militia-type.

===Part of the problem is the types that they get in touch with...and the dangers that grow from those connections.
