Will is a really strong force.
On Saturday, I decided I'd had enough of my current job. I focused on a different job I knew I could do, pays better, and has more flexible hours, and is a less physical down-and-dirty sort of work. I applied for that job at their local offices.
Today, I got the call back. I have to go in, formally complete some more application paperwork and a math test, plus take six hours of training the day after that, but at this point from what I am hearing that is pretty much a formality. I will have this job.
It pays $8 an hour to start. Amount of hours per week vary widely, could be as low as 20 or 25 some weeks, to as high as 50 or more other weeks. My own experience with this job, at this time of year, leads me to believe I will not be lacking in hours. See, I've worked at this exact job before. I'm going back to the job I had at the Inventory company, RGIS, in 2000. This is a good move for me right now. A really good move. This is the job that let me go to Thresholds in 2000 without even needing to have accumulated vacation time, the hours are that flexible. Assuming that their current setup is similar, I should have no problem attending this year.
I'd say wish me luck, but at this point I don't think anything has been left to chance. I'm very excited about this. :)
