I had a really good day today in DC. The Cherry Blossom festival was pretty much a bust, it was over by the time we got there and all the venders were gone, but Duo and I hung out in Chinatown, the Natural History Museum, and the Air and Space Museum. And I got a new CD! Did you know our government sells filk in their gift shops? *beams* Space-filk. :)

And I fed my pen-collection too. :) A new astronaut pen (those things are great) and a dual-color plane pen... very handy, blue and red ink, sorta like a four-color pen but only as thick as a normal pen. And the astronaut pen is black ink, so it makes a nice combo.

I also found out some interesting things today that bear upon my Reiki research. Full details will be in my wagingpeace journal once I switch it over into Reiki mode this week, but as a teaser:

"Ikuko Osumi, Japanese Master of Seiki Jutsu"

Seiki, as defined by this system, equals universal healing energy. Sound familiar yet?

There's also another similar system by the name of Shinkiko that was founded by Masato Nakagawa, Ph.D.

Yet to be determined if there are more, but Reiki is seeming less and less unique as an energetic system by the day. Rather than finding this to diminish the value of Reiki, I find it increases it for me, as I can tie in with these other systems and learn even more about the truths which underly the dogma of the system by learning what is common to them all.

In the balance truth is revealed.
