So, I've completed my retraining now. Got back into the swing of things fairly easily, not much has changed and the few things that have are (IMNSHO) entirely for the better.
Got my uniform, employee photo id, belt, and ticket pouch. Also got scheduled for my first inventory. Tomorrow night, at the Barnes and Noble in Harrisonburg (VERY close to where I live, for those who have never been here) starting at 9pm and going till we're done (their rough estimate of 2am presently given the size of the store and number of auditors... my personal estimate is more 3 to 4am.)
Yes, sometimes I will be working vampy-shifts with this job. Not really a problem for me. :)
Rest of my schedule yet to be determined, but it should remain just as flexible as the first time that I worked this job, while at the same time being better managed (they try not to schedule a late night followed by an early morning anymore, or are at least more cognizant of it when they do have to do so because of customer demands.)
I am officially an Inventory Elf again. ;-) *giggles*
Edit: Oh, I forgot to mention, the book store inventory is pretty much my favorite type of inventory. It's easy, it's fast, and it's fun. So I'm really happy that it's going to be the first inventory I do. I was actually hoping for such a development. :)
