What's Slaver Fungus?  Well, originally it was an AD&D idea... a fungus that creates "zombies" that aren't technically undead but otherwise act just like zombies.

Guess what?  It Does Exist!  (Sort of.)

Am I wrong in thinking that makes the world just a little cooler?

Nope, it's not dead yet. :)

So, new addition to the playlist:

No More Kings - Zombie Me

Not a new addition, since it doesn't quite fit with the other songs on the playlist, but still gets an honorable mention 'cause it's a fricking awesome song:

If I Were a Zombie by Stephanie Mabey.

In all of the plans for the zombie apocalypse that I've seen, no one seems to take into account the idea of zombies who retain their knowledge and skills. Sure given a legion of near mindless shambling corpses you'll be fine, but just one lock-picking zombie and you my friend are good and fucked! Or any other sort of tool-wielding behavior really.

Remember boys and girls, sometimes the zombies shoot back. ;)

So, I am working on putting together what I would consider the ultimate zombie playlist since I've decided I have too many zombie songs not to give them their own folder in iTunes but too few for them to really deserve one yet. Unfortunately, while there are lots of songs about zombies, it's hard to find ones that go well together. So far, I've got:
  1. Zombies Everywhere by Karate High School
  2. Re: Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton
  3. Zombie Connection by KiTiCh
  4. Shoot the Zombies by Andrew Pants
I'm having trouble finding other zombie songs that fit in well with these.  A few, like Zombie Jamboree, Zombie Killer, and Jesus Was a Zombie came close, but didn't quite fit with the others.  Nor, unfortunately, did the entire soundtrack of Dead and Breakfast.  The songs from 3 Days Later: Jesus Christ Zombie Lord would fit with Jesus Was a Zombie, but not the main four.  The songs from Zombies Can't Dance are really a self-contained story and don't merge well with other songs, and I'd say the same applies to Evil Dead: the Musical.  I also didn't find the filk songs I Don't Get ZombiesUnderwater Zombies or Lullaby for a Zombie Child to be quite what I was looking for.

And yes, I do have Re: Vos Cerveaux.  But I'm really trying to keep this playlist in English.  It might be the encore for after the rest is done.

So, I open the question to my friends: what zombie songs are out there that I've missed that have a similar feel to these first four?  What have I missed?

Edit: found another one, Zombie Pirates in Love, but I think it fits better in my pirate playlist than my zombie playlist really.  One more for TLAPD.

Edit the 2nd: Damn it, this song is AWESOME but it really doesn't fit with the rest of the playlist.  Undead Happy Trees by Tom Smith.

Edit the 3rd: And finally, we have a fifth song! Zombie Apocalypse by Kirby Krackle!

Edit the 4th: I think we may have a sixth song now too! Aim for the Head by Creature Feature.

Edit the 5th: We're cooking with gas now, with a seventh and an eighth song! I Love You and I Love Brains by All Caps.
