If I understand correctly, from some reading I have been doing, American "cursive" is significantly different from the style of "joined-up" writing favored elsewhere in the world.  As of yet, I'm unclear on how.  Any chance that those on my friends lists, living in English-speaking countries outside the US, could point me towards some basic information about the joined-up writing used in your countries?  Something approximately of the level used to educate school children in proper penmanship may be best, since I have little knowledge in this field.
