I'm having a fun day. And for once that isn't sarcasm. I got up early today and had the pleasure of being able to work on my computer while my father used his. It was a nice feeling. No job-hunting today, but that was expected since we were waiting to hear back on some things about the physical therapy and doctor's appointments for my grandmother.
Then this evening we went out to do laundry. (We don't have a washer and dryer here, so we use a local laundromat.) My father, as usual, went in by himself while I waited in the car and kept an eye on my grandmother. (Also letting me keep the heat on so it didn't get too cold for her, which we couldn't do if no one was in the car with her.) Normally I get incredibly bored, but this time I had my trusty laptop with me. I used the time to sort out my imported mail, set up some rules for delivering new mail to specific folders, and even played a little "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater". And had I felt like it I could have even watched a DVD (I took Lord of the Rings with me, but decided against watching it because I know how fast the drive uses up power, and I haven't yet gotten a power converter for use in the car. Definitely on my to-do list at some point, though.)
Oh, and this journal entry was started in the car too, though I had to finish it at home. I've backdated it to the time when it was started.
