Even the eternal know not of eternity,
For though they may have seen all the ages of time past,
They have not yet tasted of all that might still be.

And though their minds may map out the concept
in terms far removed from the fleeting lives of man
still one should not confuse the map with the territory.

(A minor random musing on the general subject of "human overlay".)

*chuckles* Yeah... for some reason that just seemed to be the way that my thoughts came out clearest... I rather like the effect.

Eternity is an infinite instant, an agonizing infinite instant to anyone cursed/damned/foolish enough to be aware of it.

But then again... in eternity there is always room for redemption. And hope always remains.

Well put. Very well put. Very possibly better well put than even you may realise :)

(And it is something that far too few people realise, I think)

*chuckles* This is what comes of combining long rambling conversations with an old friend, reading too much stuff on human overlay on kin/faeborn boards recently, and a brief foray back into the concepts of neurolinguistic programming using the metaphor of the Matrix at a very early hour of the morning.
