So, today my day has more or less revolved around Food. Which is sort of odd considering that I haven't gotten around to eating anything yet today.
The new refrigerator arrived early this morning... much earlier than I was expecting, actually, since it ended up coming just a little after 8, and I was expecting to have to call them at 9 since they hadn't called us for directions yet. It fit, rather miraculously, since we had only measured the space into which it was meant to go, and had completely forgotten to measure the spaces through which it would need to fit to get to that spot... namely doorways. But luckily enough, all of our doorways were wide enough for it and it is now resting happily in its new home. My parents are both QUITE pleased with it, and were pleasantly surprised by its size considering the amount of money that I paid for it. So we could finally empty out the coolers again and fill the new refrigerator.
Then, I got to go shopping this afternoon. Both for the family for the week, and for Thresholds. Changed my mind a bit about how to handle food for Thresholds this year... I'm still bringing a ton of food, enough to feed a small army practically, but I'm not going to be bringing as much frozen food as I thought that I would be. In the end, the only non-beverages that are going to be in my cooler are the cheesedogs that Dusk and I are both addicted to and some ground beef that I intend to use for a big meal on the very first night. Otherwise, I've gone mostly with canned foods and other nonperishables... it's more or less the same menu that I had initially proposed, but I think it'll just be a bit safer this way. I know that there is going to be ice sold on site this year, but I just really don't want to take any chances of stuff spoiling. And the canned stuff should be just as good as the fresh for the recipes I plan to use. I know from experience that the cheese dogs will be fine for four days in ice, but I was feeling a bit leery of storing salmon or chicken that way, since I don't know how long they would stay safe. It's probably more practical to do it this way anyway, since the canned salmon and canned chicken are presliced and can be added straight to the recipes with a minimum of prep.
I'm also bringing extra stuff, so we can vary our menu a bit according to mood or individual taste, and even share some stuff if anyone needs it.
I am very very much looking forward to this trip. :)

As it is, I can't wait to meet you guys (one day...one day...*laughs maniacally*)
Anything I bring will probably be bought at Korean grocery, if only because of the fact I can only take so much on the plane :)
