A Question For My Friends

Who among you considers yourself a Healer?  I don't mean that you practice healing modalities like Reiki, a lot of people do that.  I mean you consider Healing (yourself, others, your family, your extended clan, the communities of which you are part, the world, whatever) to be your primary calling in life.  Off the top of my head, I know for certain that one person among those reading this does.  I'd really like to know who else does.

For those who don't consider themselves Healers, I wouldn't mind knowing if you feel called to another path.

Arhuaine felt called as a Healer, I'm pretty sure of that. Me, I'm not so sure. Performer, if anything, but maybe not a calling exactly, it's just something I enjoy doing.

*nods* I know she did. She was one of the last ones I knew of that left, too.

Netdancer Collective runs high to the mind-soul-emotional healing. We're -terrible- at physical healing; I suspect all the capability we have in that department is going to prevent us from going blind.

*shrugs* I don't discount healing of the nonphysical type at all... in fact, I've known very few Healers that focus on physical injury unless they're in the medical industry as well.

I don't know if I'd say it's my calling, necessarily, but I've always been drawn to healing and helping those who are unwell (physically, emotionally, etc.). And when I was active on a Tolkien board, my character in the RP stories we did was an elven healer.

Cool :) I always tended to go for mage in RPs, but that's because RPs always give them the coolest abilities from the start... other classes you usually have to work up to any decent special abilities, but a well-placed cantrip can be as devastating as a fireball.
