These people are seriously starting to creep me out, Jarin. It's a good thing they're just padding their rosters, if I thought they had any *real* numbers I'd be sharpening stuff.

Heh... HOPE has always been big on bloated titles. And positions which would be unnecessary in a more innocuous group trying to achieve their same stated goals. The only reason to have someone in charge of "Risk Management and Security" is if they think there are threats to their security... that would imply either someone revealing information which they wish to keep secret, or someone attacking them either from inside or outside, pretty much like what homeland security does for the US. Now, they've tried very much to make it look like they're getting attacked, but frankly all that has happened is that the truth of their own past is being explained in public forums when they're trying to hide it. So what this position is really doing (and not very well at that, considering how many basic facts that are easily verifiable Nimraku got wrong, and which Silverfox had to correct him on already) is playing spin doctor to try to hide the truth of their past again. Exactly the same as the last time they crawled out of the woodwork on outlawkin.

It's a case of the leadership being so sure they are right that they do everything from the understanding that they are correct in what they are doing and just have to convince the rest of the world of it. And being willing to stoop to any form of deception in order to do that, because their goals are honorable in their own eyes.

I think that's practically a definition of the most dangerous form of fanatic.
