I need to locate a pool... a nice, big, olympic-style public pool someplace near here. And I also need to locate some free time to visit it regularly, even just for one hour, two days a week or something. Swimming is something I enjoy, it's also something I do entirely too rarely, and it would be good for me on several levels... both in terms of physical exercise and as a kind of purification emotionally and spiritually, both of which I need. Hell, I might even settle for swimming at a nearby public beach if I can get over my discomfort swimming in cedar water... I dislike not being able to see while swimming, which is why I generally stick to just wading in lakes and rivers where the water is not especially clear.

Swimming in lakes/rivers isn't a good idea. For one thing, who knows what trash/junk/fallen trees might be lurking under the water that could hurt you. Second, who knows what creatures *died* in there. Rotting corpses... ew.

Umm... I was thinking the river at Four Quarters where we all go swimming every year during WtT, and the lake in my home town where the county sells beach tags and lets people go swimming and has life guards and everything. I don't think they're quite that bad....

Mmm. Well that was a nice river. It's a heck of a drive from Mays Landing though. :)

*giggles* I know, I was just giving it as an example of a river I've gone swimming in before... around here I'd stick with the cove.

*chuckles* Sorry about that, I was on my way to bed when that comment arrived in my inbox, and I just quick replied before signing off. I should have mentioned that...
