Well, I had an interview with Robert Half today (technically OfficeTeam, which is a division of Robert Half).  It went pretty well, I think.  Wasn't given an assignment yet, but I was told to check back with all of their local branch offices (there are four) every two days and with my interviewer every week, which seems FAR more proactive than Adecco.  My interviewer was somewhat shocked that Adecco hasn't found anything new for me since my layoff in January after working for them for three years.

Plus, I kinda aced the tests they gave me in Excel and Data Entry.  Their office average on the Excel test is 74%.  My score was 94%.  On alphanumeric keying, I actually doubled their office's average score.  They were just a little bit impressed. *grins*

So, finger crossing starts now that this will lead somewhere.  Or that one of the other places I've contacted about jobs will contact me with a job offer.

Robert Half is a good company--among other things, even if you can't find work straightaway, they DO give free (online) training for things like Net+ certification and such. :3

Though upon closer looking it seems as though I need to get at least one paycheck from them before I become eligible for that.

They've apparently changed their standards, then--they were letting me do it for a while at any rate, and I'd not been receiving payment from them (most of what they've been hiring for locally requires either a CCNA or is in Ft. Knox--and that's just the weird Louisville IT job market, you will likely fare far better).
