Then again, I've wanted to pretty much lynch the entire executive board of Disney ever since they started putting out not one, but two sequels to "The Jungle Book". Bastards. STOP MICHAEL EISNER AND ROY DISNEY BEFORE THEY FUCK ANYTHING ELSE UP
Very much not the only one. Escape to Witch Mountain and Return from Witch Mountain were two of my favorite movies when I was a kid. They were each action movies in the same way that Doctor Who is an action show; this new one seems to be more along the lines of Terminator. And, of course, the kids powers get majorly upgraded... phasing through solid matter and super-strength+invulnerability, judging by the preview where a car hits the boy after he phases out of the vehicle he was riding in. Plus, just the fact that it's not Tony and Tia anymore kind of annoys me.
All in all, this movie seems to be to Witch Mountain what fucking "sparkle" (twilight) was to the vampire genre: the bastard product of the original movie series or genre being raped by people who really just wanted to remake "Smallville".
