For those tracking such Flows, HOPE seems to be spreading... they apparently have chapters operating in both multiple states and multiple countries, if their pages are to be believed. And seem to have merged with CORDE as well. Their various msn groups are very enlightening, in my opinion, both the main http://groups.msn.com/HOPEorg/ and others like http://groups.msn.com/GeorgiaHOPE/

Just thought you guys might like the heads up.

===Excellent. Let them spread and find one another. There are enough warnings out there....the ones that join them are the ones to watch out for.

===May the density bring them the problems...and us the shielding of having them be the ones that invoke attention.

I'd agree with that partially... the ones who join them from within the kin community are ones to watch out for. However, as their density increases and forms this buffer zone around the rest of the kin community by drawing attention to themselves and away from us, the same won't hold for those newbies who join HOPE because it has made itself more easily seen than to the general public the rest of the kin community. HOPE-CORDE is not just going to draw the attention of negative influences away from us, in my opinion. And, as it grows and advertises itself and it's many chapters more and more, it could easily become percieved by mainstream society as BEING the otherkin community. It brings us back to all the old worries about negative press, particularly now that they've merged with an organization that reportedly wants monetary donations for the "Research" on otherkin that they are doing.

Ahh crap. They're congealing.

I am not sure that this is something that should be slept on. On the other hand, I'm not at all clear on what could productively be done.
