Research Update and a Request

As some of you already know, I've got a new research project. I'm going to be reverse-engineering and then hopefully modifying and improving a technomagical device known as a Babalon Matrix, which is based at least in part (possibly entirely, but it's too early to say that for sure just yet) off of Orgone technology.

Now that I've had the chance to study the device closely and get information on its construction, I'm going back and researching more on the theory behind orgone devices and their construction, to help me see what principles of orgonomy have been used in the Matrix. I've already found a lot of interesting information, but I am also finding an entire culture steeped in paranoia and what I would tend to consider "psychic warfare syndrome"... a lot of astral battles going on that may be with tulpas/constructs created by their own fears, and little more. I think I've moved past that stage in my own development, but at the same time I have never had to immerse myself in a culture of it before. Thus, the reason for this post: watch me, please. Help keep me grounded if it seems like I'm starting to drift into paranoia. You guys know me, you know how obsessed I get with my research projects, and that's cool... but if that obsession looks like it is starting to go in unhealthy directions, try to get me to back off from it for a while and get myself back into a better headspace. I'm going to try to keep an eye on myself too.

I may end up posting a lot of the material on orgone that I find in my research here. Not sure yet about the plans for the matrix itself... I'm still working on contacting the original designer, and his wishes will have a large bearing on that unless I make significant changes to the device or learn that its design is already commonly available under another name in orgonomy circles.

could you provide some references to this Babalon Matrix? Did you mean "Babylon"?

Obviously, my interest in orgone accumulators is heading a particular direction, though I don't intend to follow up on that lead anytime soon.

It's a device Ri owns (his brother Eyovah used to have one too, now also in Ri's care.) It was made by a friend of his who goes by the name Leon, who I'm currently working on contacting but who is proving somewhat elusive. My understanding is that it was originally made for ritual work, but it also works rather nicely for other purposes. Creates a very strong localized energy field which can be tuned to different patterns. It's been used for manifesting otherkin traits more strongly, healing, gatework, and just as a general amplifier for metaphysical work being done within the field. The Doc got a good look at it along with me, as well as experiencing the feel of it first hand, so if you'd like to ask him for his impressions you might get a more objective view than just taking my word for it.

And my understanding is that the spelling Babalon is correct in this... it was created by a Thelemite for use with the Babalon current, and was specifically used in the context of the 11-star working. (Not sure if it was used in any others.)

How does it differ from a "typical" orgone accumulator?


I'd like to devise a means to create microscopic orgone accumulators; if you'll recall, I posted recently about lipid vessicles, and the similarity between prebiotic phospholipid bilayer vessicles and orgone accumulators. I think it would be possible to create essentially an orgone-accumulating liquid.

However, as I mentioned, I don't expect to follow up on that notion anytime soon if ever.

Well, a typical orgone accumulator is used to help charge up the device... from there, it's directed into a central spherical crystal which can be charged to a specific purpose (or just left with its natural energetic properties due to the type of stone used) and from that central point radiated outward to form a field. Crystals on the perimeter limit the field size and (I think) refocus extra energy back into the center. It actually does seem to have a lot in common with the HHG (Holy Hand Grenade) orgone accumulator design, but without using orgonite and with an external orgone accumulator directing energy into the center crystal. The other obvious difference is that in this design the field is contained within the perimeter crystals, rather than using them to direct energy outward.

The KIDS system used "outer receptors" to accumulate psychic energy from a large number of children and focus it at a central point.

What you're describing sounds very similar, except you're using orgone accumulators instead of children, and you have a more developed central focus.

Well, the current design has no output end... everything gets refocused back into pumping the medium, and the beneficial effect of the current design comes primarily from the user being able to stand in the cavity and work with the accumulating energies directly. I won't deny that I have been toying with thoughts of making it directional, but I don't really have a use in mind for that, just thinking of ways it can be mutated. Then again, I'm also insane enough to be wondering what exactly would happen if someone pointed a cloudbuster type orgone device at the center of the Matrix rather than the tiny orgone shooter currently being used.

My own uses for it? Various. Primarily I want to see the limits of what one CAN do with a device like this.

I'm thinking it could be used as an amplified cloudbuster. I also wonder what a similar array might do to a garden. If we're in the same house next year, I volunteer my garden for testing.

Possibly, yes.... shouldn't even be too difficult to turn it into that, I would think. Though I was having difficulty determining how one would set it to discharge only after a given field strength was reached in the cavity. I've also got a few ideas for alternate/additional power sources to tie in, and various amplification methods on the basic Matrix design already. I'd really like to make it up to a tangible field, if possible. And I don't just mean to people already sensitive to subtle energies.

Not sure how it would affect a garden, though Ri has requested a sustainably designed one to go atop his beehive. This could lead to interesting experimentation. And hell, if the design gets refined enough that it is both powerful, elegant, and cheap to produce, at some point we can try a batch of mead brewed not just inside a standard box orgone accumulator, but inside a charged Matrix.

Lasers use a semi-transparent barrier; one that's reflective until a certain threshold is reached. Alternately, the barrier could be designed to break down after a set period of time.

True, but I'm not entirely sure how to duplicate that on an energetic level.... short of manually creating a shield of some sort to serve as the reflective barrier, and manually dropping it when the threshold is reached. I'd rather it be something built into the device itself...

I've some notion of what's opague to orgone/reflective (is there a difference?) energy; I'm not so clear as to what's transparent. I've a notion a timed-delay shield might include nutrient agar...

Actually, it might work best if we simply program the center crystal to split its function into transmitting 1/3 of its accumulated energy and radiating 2/3s back into the cavity. The charge should keep building, and the amount represented by 1/3 should keep getting larger and larger over time.

Well, if we assume orgone energy acts as energy, that should mean to simply make 1/3 of the cap transparent.

I think it will be increasing, so long as the orgone accumulators continue to give off energy into the cavity. Once those are depleted, it'll drop off rapidly.

Dude, some of this stuff is freaky... right down to key terms like "spiritual warfare" showing up in it. The actual orgone info is good, but damn the rest of it is conspiracy theorist central... even some genuine dominionism, I think, though it's been married to new-age ufo-watcher theories.

I've never heard of this thing, but if you want my opinion, whatever it is, it's not worth it. You're a capable person. You can reach whatever you're trying to with other means, you don't need to involve yourself with this kind of psychotic human waste.

Heh, don't worry I quite agree with your assessment of the owners of the sites and the sites themselves. Unfortunately, groups like these are some of the few sources that have actually published detailed plans of orgone devices online for free at this time, partially because they do believe it is a tool in this supposed "war" of theirs. Personally, I'd much prefer to get the information directly from the Wilhelm Reich museum, but frankly they seem more out to make a profit off the material than to disseminate the information. Bound xerox reports selling for 27 dollars U.S. tend to lend to that impression. And Reich himself got somewhat loopy with UFOs and conspiracy theories in his later years, so this sort of focus in the orgone community is not without precident.

But don't worry, I am being careful and I don't intend to adopt the paranoia or delusions which have become associated with this material. And the base information on orgone does seem to be good, from my own past experience with orgone devices.

My own take tends to be, With any idea have a look at the mind that came up with it and the people who follow it. Sure there are exceptions, but if someone is deranged, or worthless as a human being, don't assume this one thing you're looking at is miraculously isolated from the rest of their mind. Maybe this whole thing is something you don't want to get too close to.

With Reich, I suspect his later paranoia had a lot more to do his personal history... the FDA in the US was outright burning his books at one time, and he eventually ended up very isolated and paranoid. And others have also independently found the same, or a substantially similar, energy that Reich claimed to discover... the Odic force of Baron Carl von Reichenbach, the ki and prana of eastern esoteric systems... a lot of the descriptions overlap to a substantial degree. I believe there's really something there, and my experience with the orgone machines themselves to date has been entirely positive.

Mhm okay. Watch it though. It's too easy to step into the wrong direction, and the more so the more abstract and removed from general humanity you let things become. So keep an eye on that and take breaks. We do that too with whatever we look into. Interrupt frequently and ground yourself with 'regular' life. Then go on if it still looks worth it.
