it's unlikely I'll go to Thresholds this year, but I'd like to go one of these years.

This ritual looks like it's shaping up to be very effective... The anning seems to be in in initial stages. What I see is 100 crack filled 4 years olds with rocket ships and crayons... meaning the energy level is extrodinary. Once the planning goes on a little longer, the nessessary focus will be provided... I think all the energy needs to be focused as a stream toward one or a few spacific goals, take the cocean and focus it into a raging river whos currents are undeniable and cannot be resisted.

One thing I've seen in the 'kin community since 01 when I discovered it was and is a scism between the other world (the kin, astral, spiritual suff we talk about, the far out there stuff) and what we call the munane or real world (physical hold down a job and pay the bills world). I think this massive current of energy can be directed toward kin and toward helping all of us to merge that "out there" stuff and the "real world" stuff. Sure, the interpretation could involve bringing mythical creatures ack into our reality, but the more likely result is for kin to take career paths that donnot feel so "mundane" to them, to find environmentally friendly ways to live, for kin culture to be introduced to the mainstream in a cohesive healthy way (as paganism is coming into the mainstream), finding real life opportunities for people to just be who we are and finding ways to live our truths (i.e. green arcitecture or healing or not compromising an artistic nature for prosperity...).

I would also like to suggest that the date and general ideas and practive of the ritual be publicized enough for interested members of the kin community can participate in non local locations. An individual 'kin in the south of Wales, for example, may want to reserve that time for meditation or may want to serve as a conduit to bring the ritual energy into his/ her local area or may want to donate energy and intention to the ritual from affar.... It'd be interesting for other groups to perform similar rituals in other locals....

Might also want to do something for general awakenning...

I think a lot of the more focused discussion has gone on in private, behind arxacies's friends filter. I'm hoping some of that will get mirrored in the public entries, for those attendees who are not friended to him.

The idea of having non-local kin contributing to the ritual remotely is intriguing though... may have to poke some people and point them to your idea here, unless you'd like to take it to them on thresholds_walk yourself.

Chances are slim to none that I will be able to attend the gather considering how hard it is for me to make long trips and that I only have one local kin friend who really wouldn't be interested in the gather, I mean, not interested enough to start setting down plans early. So you go ahead. There's not much of a point in me being on that list. It'd be like "You guys should do this, this and that at this gather that I won't even show up at."

Now, gimme a year or two years or three years... Things may be different....

I'll be lucky if I get to go to the Prog Power fest in Atlanta. lol
