Party!

The Lunar New Years Eve Party will officially kick off at my place tonight at 5pm, for all those who are coming. If anyone needs directions, I think you all have my cell #, plus there are directions in a friends-only post I made about it before. If anyone will be coming who has not yet RSVPed, please call or email me sometime today so we have an idea of how many people to expect. Ri & Helen, Kash already mentioned you were interested in coming, so you don't have to call I know about you guys already even though I forgot to ask you if you were definites when I saw you last week. Everyone who is coming, drive safe ok? The roads are getting better, but there's still an awful lot of snow around here and more than a few icy spots. I want everyone to have a safe, happy Lunar New Years Eve. :)

PS: I'm going to be out most of the morning picking up my co-host for the party, the indomitable technobushi and getting supplies for the party. (Food supplies, we're going pretty light on alcohol, that's going to mostly be BYO Booze this year.)

Final Party Update

Well, the Year of the Boar seems to be getting off to an early start here. We've heralded it in with fire and water. ;-) Minor fire in the apartment above mine this morning, none of it reached this apartment but we had some slight water issues after the fire department got down putting the fire out upstairs. Things are better now, the dripping has almost completely stopped, gas and electricity have been restored, and the few things that got wet are already drying out again, so we have decided to go ahead with tonight's party here. Sadly, though, we didn't have a chance to get out and pick up food or snacks, so we're likely going to be ordering in from takeout restaurants for the party itself. People with allergies, we will try to accomodate you as best as possible. If people are bringing any food, that will also be helpful and much appreciated. See you guys in a bit, I hope. :)
