I might have a solution for the car thing... my boss has a car he's willing to sell me, a 92 Chevy Geo, for 500 dollars. I tend to trust this guy that it's in good condition, he hoards cars and is only really selling this one due to lack of space to store them. He reminds me a bit of Ri's dad that way, actually. And, as a coworker said when I was asking him about how reliable the car is, "Do you think Charles would sell you a car that wouldn't get you to work?" My gut feel is presently telling me I'd probably be a fool to pass this up, but I need to check out a couple more things and talk with my parents about it (since we need to figure out what to do with the Ford either way).

And Benny, I was wrong, it's not a 91, it's a 95 Taurus, I double-checked my registration. The 91 I was thinking of was the Dodge Spirit that broke its oil pan at the other Thresholds. It looks like the 95 has a recall for the same thing, though, so I might have to look into that too, if it's covered we might be able to get it fixed after all, though I'm a bit wary of it posing problems again in the future. Must thing about this all a little bit more, and additional input from everyone would be great. Gah, no time now, though, I have to walk to the next store we're inventorying in a little bit, and I need to grab something to eat first, I haven't eaten all day yet.

Edit: Additional Info, it's a 1992 Chevy Geo Prism, four door, and while he couldn't remember the exact ballpark of the mileage he did say it's over 100,000. He thought maybe 120,000 but wasn't sure. Considering the Ford is newer, and is already over 1,916,364 miles (not including this most recent trip to Thresholds and back) that's really not that much. (And if I happen to have forgotten a decimal point and that quantity is actually 191,636.4 miles, well, that's still less by a damned good bit. This is really tempting, but I'd still like some input. I do need to make the decision in the next few days, though, just 'cause AAMCO is not going to hold the Ford forever, even if they're being very nice about giving me time to consider my options.
