Well, I found the background image I was looking for, pretty much. I'm not sure what surprises me more... that someone actually did a piece of artwork involving a hermaphroditic blend of Baphomet and Shub-Niggurath... or that the artist (Orryelle) is a friend of one of my closest friends (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
rialian). My only concern is that it's a bit TOO overtly sexual... I was looking for something a bit more provocative than outright spooge-y... but it will serve for the time being, at any rate. Although... hmm, now that I'm browsing through the rest of Orryelle's work, this one might be a bit closer to what I had in mind: http://crossroads.wild.net.au/ardhanarishvara.htm The entire concept of the horned hermaphrodite intrigues me, and merges well with elements of my personal mythos. No pun intended.
