I'm not Wiccan, and I don't particularly follow the rule of three, I'm the type that is more than happy to take action, even against others, when there is need for it, and I don't expect any automatic retribution from the multiverse if I do so. But I keep seeing things that list, as their primary argument against the law of three, that it violates the laws of physics... I find that totally rediculous. Physics, first of all, was never meant to explain metaphysical principles, and there is no basis for expanding known physical laws into that realm. Secondly, it completely ignores human subjectivity, and the fact that 1/3 of the force involved in an action can easily create another action that is percieved as "equivalent"... let's say that you help someone out with something, anything... and let's say that somewhere in the amazon a butterfly flaps it's wings, and the next day you get sun instead of rain, brightening your mood (if you have no idea what I'm talking about, read up on chaos theory) And that sunlight helps your favorite plant grow better, and lets you see a beautiful sunset... there, three things that came back to you, with only the force of a butterfly flapping it's wings... no violations of the laws of physics required. And that's not even going into the way the people you meet in the day will be in better moods because of the sunshine, so they'll be nicer to you, and other benefits like that... easily surpassing a mere three things, and still with only the force of a butterfly's wings.
Cool, huh?
