1. You might be a HOPE member if you find "research" that has to be immediately corrected about order of events, years they took place, and what exactly happened a sign of a plausible argument.
2. You might be a HOPE member if mistyping a gender pronoun makes you think twice about how well a person knows what he's talking about, but not knowing someone's last name (dreamsinger vs dreamsing) does not. [For the record, Dreamsinger is one letter too long for Livejournal to use as a username, but at the top of the screen and in my profile it gives my whole name, so there really shouldn't be any confusion.)
3. You might be a HOPE member if you think immediately closing most of the HOPE website and MSN group is a natural reaction to criticism about the group from outside sources. Double points if you really think it was done because HOPE-CORDE is a completely new group and the old info didn't apply any more.
4. You might be a HOPE leader if you don't know the difference between public and private, and scramble to make public things private after people you don't like find them.
5. You might be a HOPE member if a significant number of people know you by a codename. You might be a HOPE leader if a significant number of people can connect it with your real name on sight.
6. You might be a HOPE member if you believe jealousy of how big an MSN group has grown when there is no way for *members* of that group, let alone nonmembers, to view how many people are members is a plausible reason for the moderator of a well-known and long-lived otherkin mailing list AND coordinator of a physical-world annual otherkin gather to not like HOPE.
7. You might be a HOPE leader if you're trying to plan chapters for cities where you don't have members yet.
8. You might be a HOPE member if you find an official reply to a critical letter written almost entirely in caps to be a mature and well reasoned response.
9. You might be a HOPE member if you ignore posts where direct proof is offered about HOPE's past, and reply only to those posts which rely solely on personal experience and do not cite direct evidence, even when the proof is offered in the same thread on the same forum in reply to one of your messages.
10. You might be a HOPE member if you choose to use a name identical to another member of the otherkin community when you have at least two others to go by which bear no resemblance to that name. Double points if the name is that of an ex-member who often speaks out against HOPE, or the name of someone in the community that speaks out against similar organizations and the tactics they use to gather members.

11. You might be a HOPE leader if you ever discussed the possibility with Silverfox, even if you apparently don't know that you are and supposedly didn't fully agree to it.

12. You might be a HOPE leader if you think making a public resource visible to members only is a good way to increase your credibility when criticized.
Feel free to add more in the comments section... I'll be adding to this as I think of them. :)

===Very nicely done...and quite accurate.
===I wonder if they realise that pretty much everyone that is a stable organisation is simply observing them to make sure that we just know when to run like hell or duck and cover?
===We know they are loons, and go out of our way to document stuff so that we do not have to deal with the attention they are getting from other organisations. We know that they are creating the camps that they fear...and those things will be for THEM. We want to make sure that when the time comes, we are in the clear.
===Some of us are open about it, others are using this for their own ends....which is fine. We all pretty much know the score, and we all pretty much do not care if they know this is going on. Public paper trails are for the public, after all...(lol)

*wonders idly if they are even going to deign to acknowledge my very politely written request that they please purge their records of anything I have purportedly written, seeing as a) I'm not involved with 'em and don't intend to be the rest of this universal cycle and b) federal and state authorities would be rather less than amused at many of the ideas for glamourbombing and c) I *do* happen to work for da govmint :)*
