I'm in the mood for a dish I haven't had in years. My father used to work for a company where the majority of employees really were one big family from India. We were invited to a wedding they held at one point, and among the other dishes there was served this DELICIOUS chicken dish... I'm not really sure how to describe it, but I recently had something which kind of reminded me of it a little (asian, not indian, though, and not quite close enough to really satisfy my craving) and since then I've just been wanting it all the time. And the worst part is, I have absolutely no idea what the name of this dish was. I was like 11 or 12, MAYBE 13 at the time. If I at least knew the name of the dish I could look up a recipe for it and try my own hand at making it, or find a restaurant that prepares it the way I like. As things stand, I don't even have a clue what it might have been. It was just chicken in this orangish-red sauce, somewhat spicy but not overly so... grr, it's gonna drive me crazy!

Maybe if I go back to the asian place and make careful note of what the dish that reminded me of it was called, I can look up the ingredients for that, and then start looking up indian cookbooks and comparing things till I find a dish that seems to match... ?
