Today, I had an experience that is just the perfect illustration of why I hate jobhunting.  Earlier today I posted a new version of my resume on Craigslist, highlighting my data entry work rather than my IT aspirations.  I hoped it might attract some different attention.  About fifteen minutes ago, I got an email asking me to please call a number, and that they had a lot of type writing work in Alexandria.  I looked it up, and the number belonged to AAA Urgent Care, a medical facility in Alexandria.  The email address and phone number were specifically linked to Dr Ahmed Mehboob working there.

I started to get a little excited at this point.  Medical data-entry generally pays pretty well.  But something was nagging at me.  I tried calling [livejournal.com profile] orthaevelve to see if she'd ever heard of the place and if it was reputable.  She hadn't, but recommended I look it up with the government to see if there had been any complaints.  I did that, and found that not only have there been complaints, the "Doctor" in question has actually had his license revoked by the Virginia Board of Medicine for a period of at least 3 years starting on 5/28/2008.  Which would seem to indicate that he is presently practicing medicine without a license.

Yeah, I don't want to touch this guy with a ten foot pole.

And this kind of shit is why I hate jobhunting.
