Those who have been reading my journal for some time know that I have a favorite quote that I post here at semi-regular intervals, from T. E. Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom. The latter half of it I am sure that everyone knows by heart even if they may not know where it's from. But the former isn't as well known. And something is telling me it's time to post it on its own:
This, therefore, is a faded dream of the time when I went down into the dust and noise of the Eastern market-place, and with my brain and muscles, with sweat and constant thinking, made others see my visions coming true.
