I am in full-on project mode. For those who have not previously survived a Jarin in full-on project mode, this means that very soon I am going to be posting *obscene* amounts of information on my pet project of the day. And because this is a topic I have only limited experience with, and there are a few others who have expressed interest in this topic with even less experience with it, I am going to be starting from the bare-bones basics and background info and heading as rapidly as possible up to advanced R&D work. What this means for you, the reader, is simply this: you are about to be infospammed more than you ever thought possible. And it is not going to be filtered because I want these to be public posts that anyone can find if interested, indexed by google.

What I will do, to spare your friends lists, is try to condense things as much as possible into single posts with the bulk of their content behind cut-tags. I don't happen to know if LJ posts have a content length limit the way comments do, but I can almost guarantee that we are about to find out.

If the number of posts I make on this subject still begins to overwhelm your friends list, I would highly recommend following the procedure for creating a "default view" filter, and removing me from it for the time being. This means you'll have to check my journal manually from time to time if you still want to see what I'm up to, but it will stop me from monopolizing your friends lists with my entries while keeping me friended and able to view your friends-only entries. You might want to wait until you actually see what kind of volume I'll really be producing before deciding you want to go this route, I'm not exactly certain how often I'll be able to post with work and other concerns monopolizing much of my time, but it should definitely be a significant upswing from what you've been seeing from me lately.

Edit: I should mention, for those of you who survived my Reiki obsession when it was in full-on mode, duplicating or substantially mimicing the function of the Babalon Matrix was one of the major goals I had when I began that project. So this is going to be at least the same level of metaphysical geekery. You've been warned.

So, while I'm preparing for the first major post I want to make on the subject of orgone, I thought I'd share an evil little thought that came to me. This one is for you, Ri, on the continuing subject of sustainably designed Orgonomic devices: can't we just build one out of cob? As far as I know, the only requirements are layers of metal alternating with layers of an organic carbon-bearing insulator... doesn't cob, with its straw content, fit the bill?
