Been busy lately with my new job + school. Here's a quick update on my life:
Doing computer forensics in school right now. Kinda interesting, but honestly I'm more intrigued by the work I've been doing on the side with Linux. I ended up installing Linux on my computer at school yesterday and am VERY happy with the results. Because of the way it was installed, it is entirely invisible to any of the windows users. In fact, it CAN'T be booted up by anyone but me... it requires a floppy disk to be inserted to boot at all. I like that a lot, and I'm strongly considering adding linux to Shub-Niggurath as well; though, frankly, it doesn't have a ton of space on the hard drive so I may hold off on that.
On the less good side of things, Tetsusaiga (my laptop) is presently dead. Problem looks to be the logic board most likely, according to the information I've found online about people experiencing similar issues. Sadly, I do not have the money to have it repaired at this time, so I'm back to using a desktop setup at home for the time being, as well as my computers at work and school.
On a tangentially related note, Happy Belated Birthday to
tlttlotd! Sadly, the present I planned to give you for your birthday consisted of files which currently reside on my laptop... so your gift will have to be delayed until I can reaccquire them on Shub-Niggurath. Happy Birthday anyway, and I hope you have fun with your new toy. :)
To everyone else, sorry I haven't been around lately. You all are in my thoughts. Love you guys. *hugs for everyone*
