I should probably explain that last entry, since nobody who reads this journal (to my knowledge) is fluent in hawaiian. Actually, the people it was addressed to are not either, but I'm fairly sure that's not going to matter in their case. It's more important that the message be sent than received.
I've been working on some writing today, and a sudden bit of unexpected progress left me feeling very grateful for my spiritual family. It left me wanting to thank them for what they have taught me in this life and others, which is what that message was about. I know most people would probably write a physical letter and then burn it, similar to the asian concept of burning hell money, but for me an electronic message is much more my style. I thought about sending an email to an address for one of them that I know, 100% sure, is defunct at this time; but in the end this seemed more the format for it, and a better way of sending a message "out into the void" than a bounced email would be. It's also an experiment in working with Livejournal in a somewhat different way; I've been reviewing some past comments and thoughts on the internet as a magical environment and this seemed like a good opportunity to put some of that into practice.
