I made an automator workflow on Tiger that scans a webpage for m3u files, reads the mp3 urls contained (in plaintext) within those files, and then downloads the mp3 files to my desktop. No more having to do all that by hand! :)

People who think providing m3u links to "stream" the audio will prevent people from downloading the mp3s they are linked to are really ignorant of how the technology works.

For any of my friends who use Mac and are fond of Firefox, you ain't seen NOTHING yet. I have a program called Firefix which automatically downloads the latest nightly builds of firefox for me, and at the moment I am posting this via LJ's web interface from the latest pre-alpha release of Deerpark, the lastest version of Firefox for the Mac. It is NICE, and the intergration with Mac-specific technology is noticeably improving, though there is still room to go (still no integration with the system-wide spellchecker, I'm afraid.) It's also BLAZINGLY fast. I'm kinda enjoying it, though Safari is still my browser of choice. Thought people might be interested in knowing what's up-and-coming.

Hehe... for obvious reasons, I'm a fan of the name. They just need a better icon to go with it. *grins*
