Today has been a weird mix of good and bad.
It started out bad. That guy from work that was going uber-christian on me? Today it got worse. He, citing my liking to read, gave me a small catalog of religious books. I didn't see a way to politely refuse it, so I took it. When I got the chance to read it over, I officially got scared.
It's from Sacred Truth Ministries, in Mountain City, Tennessee. The blurbs for the books they're selling include a great deal about how the aryan races are the lost tribes of israel. They also include things about how god's promises to israel are not meant for all races. And reasons why god may have created races other than "Adamkind". And several things celebrating NON-multiculturalism.
In short, I was handed literature from a right-wing white supremacist branch of christianity today. They seem to refer to themselves as "Christian Israelites", or "Christian-Anglo-Israelites". They scare me. And I'm not sure how this guy I work with his connected to their group. He did say not every book in the catalog he agrees with. I'm just not sure which ones he does.
Thankfully, after work things got a GREAT deal better. Taijutsu today. Very fun practice, and along with it I ended up doing some healing for some minor injuries that were incurred (the most serious one was just someone getting punched in the crotch by accident, he was totally fine after the healing) and some more attunements after the meeting. Thato is up to Karuna now (I got Karuna together, so I have a tendency to just lump the Karuna attuenments as if it was one level, with only one attunement), one or two others have taken Usui 3, a couple more took Usui 2, and one new person got his Usui 1. I have a feeling this time people are going to take longer to work through the changes in their energetics than they did the first time, so I don't anticipate more attunements quite as quickly as this set came after the initial ones. I definitely seem to have stirred people's interest in Reiki and (more generally) energywork though. That at least made me feel very good. :)
