Phoenix soaring, firebird in flight
Bathes the earth in radiant light
But his own twin flees from his glow
Hiding her face until the night
At night he sleeps where none may know
And then his twin her face will show
In the dark of midnight roaming
Tracing the globe, light soft like snow.
Earth hides firebird from her combing
She-wolf hunting till the gloaming
Sleeping sibling still she's seeking
On his refuge she is homing.
Walking, racing, stalking, sneaking
Making no sound never speaking
Hoping she may capture the sight
Of bright sun upon moon peeking.
