I was just testing out the new trillian beta's IRC capabilities, and I went on Dalnet and looked up otherkin channels. Ended up in a conversation in the #otherkin channel with someone I've never met before... goes by the name Fanfir... about the state of the kin community. Very fun and interesting. I think I'll be going back there and trying to catch things when they're more active. #afd, #othercreatures, and #other_creatures also seem promising. Not sure if there are any more good ones, I have to admit that I didn't feel like waiting for the whole long list of channels to download.

*grins* There is something very very cool about watching a groundhog happily munch on apples that have fallen to the ground from an apple tree in your yard. :)
Ok, it's one thing to have a cat die and another cat show up on your property not long after... that could easily be just a coincidence, right?
But when they have very similar colorations... and when they ACT rather alike (both big orange overgrown kittens)... and when the new one looks a handful of years younger than the one who died but is still an adult cat and is happily bounding after a bird in the same kittenish way the one who died used to do when he was younger and healthier...
... doesn't that seem just a bit beyond the bounds of a coincidence?
