I'm having an unusual experience lately.
I've increased the amount of pleasure reading that I do in a day, actually made a point of going to the library and picking up some fiction books that I've never read before but that looked good. Read the Reliquary last night, for instance.
At the same time, the amount of time it takes me to perform my other normal activities seems to be compressing itself, and I end up feeling like I have many more hours in the day than I used to feel I had. Sort of like the Time Dilation effect we've talked about some years at Thresholds, where the four days of Thresholds feels like several weeks.
I think the two things might be related somehow, but I'm not entirely sure how. In any case, I'm hoping to learn to make use of this effect. It would be a nice effect to be able to invoke at will, given the fast pace of so much of the modern world.
