Fairly boring day so far, as usual my parents are out (today they're having lunch at a restaurant together) while I'm home watching my grandmother. I seriously cannot wait till Wednesday, the time with Dusk and the time away from my grandmother are going to be exactly what I need, even if I'm not really looking forward to seeing some of the people who are going to be there, and some of the people I'd like to see there aren't going to make it this year. It'll be nice to see some of my friends again, though. Just a few who it's really going to be awkward to see, because of problems between them and I in the past year. Curiously, one of them is making gestures of wanting to talk to me and Dusk again, just in the past few weeks. The way that plays out should be interesting, I just hope it won't turn out to be disruptive. I'm going to do everything I can to make sure WtT stays peaceful for me and Dusk.

Been working on last minute preparations... checked my tent today, made sure it was still in one piece, set it up, and swept out the inside. Even found some change in there from last year. (Amazing the odd places loose change turns up, isn't it?) I'm going to be getting the supplies for the trip either later tonight or tomorrow, after I ask Dusk whether he'd prefer cheesedogs or regular hotdogs. Might end up getting both, since I really like cheesdogs and I think he prefers hotdogs (not sure on that, though, my memory isn't really the best.) I'm taking a cooler of supplies for Wednesday night and Thursday... probably will be more than enough for me and Dusk, and we might end up sharing them with others, which I have no problem with. :) Nothing really fancy, mostly just hotdogs and cheesedogs, marshmellows, and soda. Might grab some chips too, just to round it all out. And I'm going to be bringing some libations... finally being 21 has it's benefits. :)

My father and I are going to do laundry this afternoon, so that my parents have clothes for the week while I'm gone, and so I can make sure that the sleeping bag I'm taking is clean. Then, other than packing for the trip, the only thing I'll have left to do before Wednesday is drive up to Glouchester and take my grandfather grocery shopping. *chuckles* Funny how things alway seem to fall on the times my schedule is already hectic with other things I have to do. But since I'm driving straight to WtT, and I figure it's a four or five hour drive, I can leave fairly late on Wednesday morning and still get there at a reasonable time to have our tent and everything set up by the time Dusk gets off of work and makes the drive. :)

Just have to figure out where to pitch camp this year... Dusk would like to camp down bottom, near the river, we didn't really enjoy the spot we got last year (and the spot I'd taken before that is now occupied by a permanent member campsite... always knew it was a good spot to pitch camp. *grins*) I don't really care where we set up, as long as it's not too close to the main fire, and has a little campfire of it's own. I'll have to check with Ri when I get there, probably, and see what spots he's already assigned people to and what spots are open to whoever gets them first. I know he was talking at one point about wanting a few people in specific spots.

I can't wait for Wednesday. :)

I Am Ananse the Spider
Ananse the Spider of African folklore is both wise and foolish in the best tradition of tricksters. If you're like Ananse, you're clever and like to be thought well of, but sometimes you outsmart yourself. You're always trying to figure the best angle and you're intelligent and creative, but you have a crude streak. Still, you like to show off your knowledge and that makes you a good teacher..

Which Trickster are you?
Take the Trickster Test at www.isleofdreams.net

Wow, for once someone I know MADE the quiz, rather than just having taken it. Coolness. :) Also seems to be fairly accurate, at least if I'm any judge of myself.
